Disaster Response Preparedness Tools
This section provides guidance and a set of tools that can be used to support disaster response preparedness activities.
Terminology: throughout the Toolkit, we tried to respect the ISDR terminology in relation to disaster risk reduction and related terms. The version from 2004 can be found under the following link. It should be noted that the ISDR Secretariat is pursuing its project to update and translate existing ISDR terminology. A current updated version in english is available here. The ISDR Secretariat aims to finalise and launch terminologies in all six UN languages by the time of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in Geneva, 15-19 June 2009.
